We run tournaments that go from 4 PM until around 11 PM for the finals. In previous years, we managed everything using Excel spreadsheets – referees wrote results on paper, and we manually updated Excel to keep everything current. This year, referees entered results directly into the app themselves.
The transformation was significant: instead of constantly updating Excel with every result, I only needed to ensure the app was working properly for each referee – which it did flawlessly. During the group stage, the process felt fairly similar to previous years. However, when we reached the evaluation before the knockout round, we were noticeably faster – approximately twice as quick – since all results were already in the app and ready to use.
As the founder of the 'Planszownia Grodzisk' board and RPG club, I have found the Tourney app to be an invaluable tool for organizing both short and long tournaments. Our events range from one to two-hour sessions to extensive six-hour marathons, and even month-long special events.
